Extension of Grace Period Related to “Four Walls” Requirement for IHS/Tribal Facilities

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released an informational bulletin that extends the grace period previously granted to Indian Health Service (IHS) facilities, and facilities operated by Tribes and Tribal organizations, regarding reimbursement of services provided outside a Tribal health clinic facility. The bulletin extends the grace period to conclude nine months after the end of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Public Health Emergency (PHE). For more information, refer to the CMS Bulletin.
