Medi-Cal Learning Portal Upgrade in July 2020
Originally published June 19, 2020 and updated on July 9, 2020
The new Medi-Cal Learning Portal (MLP) is scheduled to go live in July 2020. As it was announced previously, the refreshed Medi-Cal Learning Portal page will continue to be accessible from either its original location or from the Outreach & Education page of the Medi-Cal Provider website.
MLP user profiles and any Presumptive Eligibility certification or continuing education credits earned will be transferred from the current MLP to the upgraded MLP. Please note that only Presumptive Eligibility certifications and continuing education credits will appear, but no other prior course certification history.
Please note the following:
- The User ID of the upgraded MLP will now be the email address registered in the existing MLP. Users will need to verify and make note of the email address in the current MLP.
- The password will not be transferred from the old MLP. This means that MLP users will need to reset their password when accessing the upgraded MLP for the first time. The password reset will be sent to the email address of record in the current MLP.
- New Presumptive Eligibility providers, who may need to associate multiple National Provider Identifiers (NPIs) to a single User ID/email address will need to contact the Telephone Service Center (TSC) at 1-800-541-5555 for assistance until new functionality is available later this year.
Continue to check the Medi-Cal website for updates on implementation details.
