CCS Service Code Groupings Update

Effective July 1, 2008, HCPCS codes Q3014 and T1014 have been added to California Children’s Services (CCS) Service Code Groupings (SCGs) 01, 02, 03, 07 and 10.

Effective August 15, 2008, CPT-4 code 90698 has been added to SCGs 01, 02, 03 and 07.

Effective September 1, 2008, CPT-4 codes 99341 – 99345 and 99347 – 99350 have been added to SCGs 01, 02, 03 and 07.

Effective November 1, 2008, HCPCS codes J0640 and J9206 have been added to SCGs 01, 02, 03 and 07.

Effective December 1, 2008, HCPCS codes C9242, J1440, J1441 and J2505have been added to SCGs 01, 02, 03 and 07

In addition, HCPCS codes X6446 and X7636 and CPT-4 codes 90399 and 90749 have been end-dated effective November 1, 2008. HCPCS codes X7046, X7048 and X7652 have been end-dated effective December 1, 2008.

Reminder:

SCG 02 includes all the codes in SCG 01, plus additional codes applicable only to SCG 02. SCG 03 includes all the codes in SCG 01 and SCG 02, plus additional codes applicable only to SCG 03. SCG 07 includes all the codes in SCG 01 plus additional codes applicable only to SCG 07. These same “rules” apply to end-dated codes.

In addition, effective November 1, 2008, Sermorelin Acetate and RSV Immune Globulin have been removed from the table of drugs requiring separate authorization because they are no longer Medi-Cal benefits.
