The 837 Version 4010A1 Health Care Claim Companion Guide has been updated to reflect “Loop 2410” changes required to support collection of the new National Drug Code (NDC) related data fields for Physician Administered Drugs. These changes have been made to the ANSI ASC X12N 837 v.4010A1 Institutional Specifications, Outpatient Data Specifications and the ANSI ASC X12N 837 v.4010A1 Professional Specifications, Medical Data Specifications manuals.

A paper Claims Inquiry Form (CIF) may also be used to inquire about a claim for which payment has not been received.
