Effective for dates of service on or after December 1, 2008, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has discontinued the use of Medi-Cal interim codes for Adult Day Health Care services.  These interim codes have been replaced by HCPCS Level II codes to be in compliance with provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996, Public Law.

Providers can call the Telephone Service Center (TSC) at 1-800-541-5555, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday for more information.
