Grace Period for Accepting VeriFone VX 520 POS Transactions Has Ended

In July 2018, the VeriFone VX 520 Point of Service (POS) device was decommissioned and a grace period was put into effect. Starting on September 28, 2018, transactions will no longer be processed successfully via the POS device and the following error message will be returned:

VX520 DEVICES ARE DECOMMISSIONED. CONTACT THE TSC AT 1-800-541-5555.

Final notification letters instructing providers to use other interfaces and to return the POS devices were mailed out in May and July of 2018. For more information about the decommissioning and to learn about alternative options, contact the POS/Internet Help Desk at 1-800-541-5555 (option 4, followed by option 2).
