Public Comment for Allergy Testing Draft Policy
In response to recent legislation and the constantly evolving nature of medical practice, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has been diligently conducting research regarding current evidence-based best practices for allergy testing. A draft of the Policy Update for allergy testing is available on the DHCS website.
The first of two teleconference-only webinars will be conducted by DHCS on Monday, April 10, 2017, at 2 p.m. to explain new draft policy, including the clinical review process and background of the drafting process. Stakeholders are invited to submit written questions and comments to DHCSAllergyTesting@dhcs.ca.gov by May 10, 2017.
Comments will be individually evaluated and, as applicable, incorporated into the updated allergy testing draft policy. Once review of the feedback is completed, DHCS will hold a second teleconference-only webinar on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. to respond to written comments and explain which suggestions made it into the final policy.
