As previously announced in the November and December 2009 Family PACT Update and Medi-Cal Update, the Family PACT (Planning, Access, Care and Treatment) Program has updated the claims processing system to reflect the established pharmacy and clinic formulary policy for drugs and contraceptive supplies covered under the program.

Family PACT providers are reminded to adhere to the dispensing guidelines effective February 1, 2010, for drugs and contraceptive supplies as published in the Family PACT Policies, Procedures and Billing Instructions Manual (PPBI) online. For a complete list of drugs and contraceptives reimbursable under the Family PACT Program, including dispensing limits and restrictions, providers may refer to the Pharmacy and Clinic Formulary section and the “Treatment and Dispensing Guidelines for Clinicians” in the Benefits Grid section of the PPBI.
