The new Crossover Claims Tutorial is now available. The tutorial will familiarize participants with the Medi-Cal claim billing process for recipients who are eligible for both Medicare and Medi-Cal. The tutorial will identify the components of a crossover claim and define the different types of Medicare services. Specific conditions that may prevent claims from automatically crossing over and identifying a “crossover” versus a “straight” Medi-Cal claim will be discussed. Claim form completion requirements and crossover claims follow-up will be detailed for Inpatient, Outpatient, Medical and Long Term Care providers.
