Medical Supplies Billing Requirements: Provider Workshops
December 3, 2008
Effective for dates of service on or after April 1, 2009, medical supplies must be billed with Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Level II codes. In addition to the HCPCS Level II codes, the Universal Product Number (UPN) will be required on claims for contracted medical supplies effective for dates of service on or after April 1, 2009.
To assist and inform providers about the April 1, 2009 implementation of new billing requirements for disposable and incontinence medical supplies, Medi-Cal is offering the following workshops in January and February 2009:|
