HIPAA: Updated 837 HIPAA Technical Assistance Webcast Extended
December 28, 2005The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is again offering technical assistance on the 837 version 4010A1 Institutional and Professional claim transaction online via a webcast recording. The updated webcast archive has been extended and will now be available through February 28, 2006. The webcast has been updated with current and future project information.

familiar with the structure and data content of electronic and
EDI transactions. Those who will benefit from the archived
webcast include technical support and clearinghouse personnel,
software vendors and submitters. All participants are strongly
encouraged to review and be familiar with the transaction’s
HIPAA Implementation Guide and Companion Guide. Please
contact your technical support staff to let them know that
online technical assistance is again available.
