HIPAA: Automated Eligibility Verification System (AEVS) Voice Response Terminology Changes
September 20, 2004Some terms used in the Automated Eligibility Verification System (AEVS) have been modified to be consistent with recent field name changes in the 270/271 Real-Time Internet Eligibility transaction and Point of Service network. These changes were implemented to comply with standards mandated by HIPAA.
The AEVS term changes are shown in the following table.
