Medi-Cal has corrected a systems error that in certain instances caused the rejection of multiple 837 Version 4010A1 transactions for the same recipient. The error occurred when providers correctly submitted more than one CLM segment for the same recipient without re-sending the subscriber information. The Medi-Cal system erroneously rejected the claims for Computer Media Claims (CMC) error code 54 (duplicate claim sequence number).
