Changes to Laboratory Services Reservation System
Effective September 22, 2014, Laboratory Services Reservation System (LSRS) submissions will require an ICD indicator value in the new ICD-CM Type field if the reservation limit has been exceeded and a diagnosis code is used for lab reservations.
The new ICD-CM Type field will display above the Diagnosis Code field on the “Make a Reservation” screen.
Available Field Values
The following are valid values available in the ICD-CM Type field when a diagnosis code is required:
Users must select either “ICD-9” or “ICD-10.”
Select value “ICD-9” in the ICD-CM Type field if the Reservation Date field is dated before October 1, 2015.
Select value “ICD-10” in the ICD-CM Type field if the Reservation Date field is dated and submitted in LSRS on or after October 1, 2015.
